How do we know what a president should look like?
63For election year 2012.
Over and over I keep hearing Mitt Romney looks like he would make a good president. When this is NOT how we are supposed to look at this subject. We are talking about the next leader of this nation and how he should look a certain way? Has this not been proven false before with Warren Harding, one of the worst presidents ever?
When will we as a society stop placing so much importance on looks and apperence? Like voting for the guy who is tall and handsome with a nice build. Sometimes the guy who looks like he would be fun to have a drink with should not be our next president (Mr. Bush). We have to start looking at the interior of the presidential hopefuls and look at what they believe in and there voting records, the things that they have already done; so we get a pretty clear picture on how they will move this nation forward. If we look at there past and present stances on certain subjects, then we have a better understanding on how they will handle OUR future.
We should be looking at there voting record, where there campaign contributions come from. We need to see these people and the things that they have done for what they are, not for what they want them to be. We need to turn off American Idol and DWTS, and get on a computer and do some reaserch for ourselves; not just blindly swallow what the pundits on CNN and FAUX tell us to believe.
Sometimes the best LOOKING guy for the job, is actually the WORST guy for the job.

NOW you are asking for way too much from the American people. We are a nation that idolizes the young, beautiful, talented, perfect physiques, and brainlessness in our society.
The main reason Mr. Obama was elected was because he ran against an "average" looking, old, stale man and a totally brainless female. How could he NOT have won that election?
