This is the year for the GIANTS to go all the way!!
65I started this when the G-men were just 3-2.
Since 2007 not much at all has been said about the giants. They started off that year in much the same way the have started this one, injuries in the secondary and the front defensive line, offensive hot-heads not satisfied with anything that comes there way(or lack thereof). The media seems very much inclined to go for the teams that have four or more stars on the field with the highest paid players in the league. We have seen time and time again (eagles, cowboys, jets) those teams that are the media darlings never win the big one. Yet, the giants are 5-2 right now getting ready to face there biggest challenge this year; and of course they are the under-dogs. I will tell you right now that is fine by me, because I know my team and they play there best football when they go up against the best teams in the league. Now by the same token they seem to play there worst against under 500 teams. They always have, and they probably always will. What strikes me most about this years giant team is there resilience and there poise. They are in they very same state that they were they Super Bowl winning year and I can't wait till December! Right now they have only two main injuries (Thomas and Dixon) but they seem to have such great depth on both sides of the ball it makes no difference. Just like that year we have seen players such as Cruz and Webster come out and show that they very much belong in the league. We lost Boss but gained Ballard, we lost Smith (not much of a lose) and gained Cruz, who I could tell from the preseason he had last year that he was going to be a force to reckon with. With that I will make this prediction, the GIANTS will indeed win the SUPER BOWL in 2012!!

I don't see the Giants winning the Superbowl, but I love the enthusiasm, hopefully they can fight off the Boys.
Ya unfortunately, the G-Men have the hardest scheduele there division has to offer, ironically all because the Packers and Saints failed to win their divisions last year. Talk about bummer, especially after going 10-6 with no playoffs last year.
I think the Giants are going to win the Superbowl.
and so the legacy of Brady ends in Indy and those like us who believe saw Eli's road to Canton set in silver! What a game! Giants rocked it and are bringing Lombardi home! Big Blue showed the world what champs look like ;)
What do you mean you won't say the Giants will win? I know I don't speak for myself here (right, wavegirl?!!) when I say some of us never doubted. Not for a minute.
Well, during the actual Super Bowl there were a few brief minutes. But everything you say above is true. You can't rattle Eli and Brady got rattled and his shoulder hurt, too.
Oh well. The Giants lost about 20 (seemed like) key players to injury but they kept going to the very end.
What a game! Could be the best SB ever.
And I'm not just saying that because they won. Although that helps:-)
Agree on all counts, 910chris. I just felt emboldened this year to go for broke (although our "pool" was virtual no $) and state my truth. I mean, if you're gonna be 'all in' be 'all in' right?
I cannot comment on Eli being an 'elite' quarterback as here on HP 'elite' is a four letter, dirty word:-). But he sure earned his place in the hall of QB fame on Sunday. Grace under pressure.
A great game that ended well.
Feels good to be all in. Doesn't it!???

A guy from North Carolina a GMan fan . .Im impressed. Will the Giants go all the way. . now wouldnt that be an amazing feat. When Eli let Big Blue to the SBXLII who would have thought at the beginning of the season that they would be champions especially with Tiki retiring. This is the NFL and as fans we all know anything can happen on any given Sunday.
I wish I had more faith in the coaching staff. .. I miss Boss. . but like you I have found joy in watching Cruz. Eli, Osi and Justin (among others) have my heart. .and I hope like the last time we are once again pleasantly surprised, and your Hub title of 'This is the Year for the Giants to go all the way' comes to pass.
But I must confess. . I am hoping the same comes true for the New York Jets!
Thoroughly enjoyed this read and would love to read some more NFL Hubs from you!
